DEDICATED DEVELOPERS

Hire dedicated developers, on your hours

When you hire dedicated developers from A1Strategez, each developer is on our payroll, works only for you and takes your direction. They keep your working day and join your stand-ups. You interview them before anything is signed.

Tell us the role. You meet the developers before you commit to anything.

What a dedicated developer means here

A dedicated developer works on your product and nothing else. They're not shared with other clients and they don't rotate between accounts. You set the priorities, they work in your repository and your tickets, and they sit in your meetings like anyone else on the team.

What changes is who employs them. They're on our payroll, so recruitment, payroll, benefits administration and equipment sit with us. You get a progress and task report every week, and a call whenever you want one.

One developer or a dedicated development team

Start with one developer for one gap: a release that needs another pair of hands, or a skill your team doesn't have. Add more as the work grows. Several developers you direct together make a dedicated software development team, with each person on the same terms as the first.

A dedicated software development team works the way your own team does. The developers share your backlog, your code reviews and your release plan, and they answer to whoever leads engineering on your side. Many clients start with one developer, see how the work goes for a few weeks, and grow it into a dedicated software development team once they know the fit is right.

If you'd rather not run the team yourself, that's a different model: a managed team we run for you, where our managers handle the day to day, to your guidelines.

Developers we place

Most requests are for web and mobile developers, front-end and back-end engineers, full stack developers, QA testers and data specialists. Some roles have their own pages: hire mobile app developers, hire AI developers and hire Odoo developers. These are examples, not a menu: if the work can be done remotely and you can describe it, tell us the role.

How hiring works

  1. 01

Tell us the role. The work, the seniority, the hours, and whether it's one seat or several.

  2. 02

Get a shortlist. We send you candidates matched to the role.

  3. 03

Interview them. You talk to each developer yourself, as long as you need. Nothing is signed until you're happy.

  4. 04

They start. They join your tools, your repository and your working day.

  5. 05

Weekly report. Progress and tasks every week, and a call on request.

That's the whole process when you hire dedicated developers from us, and none of it runs through your payroll.

When dedicated developers are the right fit, and when they aren't

They fit when the work is ongoing, you have someone to direct it, and you want the same people on it every day: a product with a roadmap, a platform that needs steady upkeep, or a backlog that never quite empties. They also fit when you need a skill your team lacks and don't want to wait months to hire for it.

They don't fit when the job is a small, fixed task that ends in a few weeks, when nobody on your side can direct the work, or when a role has to be done in person at your premises. In the first two cases a project we run for you is the better choice; in the last, we'll tell you before anything is signed.

Your first weeks

Once you've chosen a developer, you give them access to your tools, your repository and your channels, and you introduce them to the team as you would anyone new. Most teams start them on a contained piece of work: a bug list, a small feature, a review of part of the codebase. That gives you an early look at how they work before they take on anything critical. Your first weekly report arrives at the end of the first week, and it keeps coming every week after that.

We work your hours

Your developers keep your working day, so a question asked in the morning gets answered in the morning, not overnight. Their managers, and the people who interview candidates for you, are available in your time zone too. That's what makes it practical to hire remote developers for work that needs a quick back and forth, such as code reviews, bug fixes in a release week and decisions in a stand-up.

Our team is in Lahore. If you're used to the idea that you hire offshore developers and then wait a day for every answer, this works differently: the developer is online when your team is.

How to choose a company to hire dedicated developers from

Whoever you hire dedicated developers from, ask the same five questions. Here are our answers.

AskOur answer
Can I interview the actual developer?Yes, every one, before anything is signed
Do you employ the developers, or subcontract them? They're on our payroll
Who owns the code, and is that in the contract? You do, and it is
What happens if the developer leaves? We line up a replacement, you interview them, and the work carries on
How many of my working hours will they overlap? All of them: they keep your working day

Your code and your data

Everything your developers produce is yours, and the contract says so: code, designs, documentation. Access is limited to what the work needs, and the protections are written into the contract as signed confidentiality and data-protection terms. If a requirement can't be met by an offshore team, we say so before anything is signed.

If a developer leaves

People resign. When it happens, you hear it from us straight away. We line up a replacement, you interview them, and only then is it finalized. The work carries on in the meantime. The same applies if a developer isn't the right fit: tell us, and we run the same process.

How it's priced

One monthly rate per person, priced from the role and the seniority. The rate carries the employment side: payroll, benefits administration, equipment and the rest of what a local hire would put on your books. Terms, including notice, are agreed per engagement. Tell us the role and we'll price it.

Questions buyers ask

How much does it cost to hire a dedicated developer?

It's one monthly rate per person, set by the role and the seniority, and you get the figure before anything is signed. The rate covers payroll, benefits administration and equipment, so nothing else lands on your books.

How do I hire dedicated developers?

Tell us the role, the seniority and your hours, and we send you a shortlist. You interview the developers yourself, choose the one you want, and only then is anything signed. They start in your tools and on your working day.

Can I interview the developer before hiring?

Yes. You interview every developer on your shortlist yourself, and nothing is signed until you're happy.

Does the developer work only for us?

Yes. A dedicated developer works only for you, on your product, and isn't shared with other clients.

Who owns the code?

You do. Everything a dedicated developer produces for you is yours, and the contract says so.

What happens if a dedicated developer leaves?

You hear it from us straight away, and we line up a replacement for you to interview. It's finalized only once you agree, and the work carries on in the meantime.

How do time zones work?

Your developers keep your working day, whether that's US, Gulf or European hours. Their managers and our interviewers are available in your time zone as well.

How do you keep our code and data confidential?

With signed confidentiality and data-protection terms in the contract, and access limited to what the work needs. If an offshore team can't meet one of your requirements, we tell you before anything is signed.

Are dedicated developers the same as staff augmentation?

They're one kind of it. When you hire dedicated developers, you direct the people yourself; in a managed team, our managers run them. Both are part of our staff augmentation services.

Should I hire dedicated developers or freelancers?

Hire dedicated developers when the work is ongoing and you need the same people every day. A freelancer suits a short, self-contained task. A dedicated developer works only for you, on your hours, and if they leave we find and you interview the replacement.

How will I know what they're working on?

You direct their work day to day, and you get a written progress and task report every week, with a call whenever you want one.

Can we start with one developer and grow into a dedicated software development team?

Yes. You can start with one seat and add developers as the work grows, each on the same terms and each interviewed by you first.

What's the minimum commitment?

Terms, including notice, are agreed per engagement, before anything is signed.

What does the monthly rate include?

The employment side: recruitment, payroll, benefits administration and equipment, plus the managers behind the developer and the weekly report. You pay one figure a month per developer.

Do they use our tools and repositories?

Yes. A dedicated developer works in your repository, your tickets and your chat, and joins your stand-ups, with the access you choose to give them.

Where are your developers based?

In Lahore, Pakistan. They work your hours, and visits go both ways.

Tell us about the role. A couple of lines is plenty; we'll ask the rest on a call.

No commitment. You meet the people before anything is signed.
